It’s a shame that the music industry is at such a sad state that artists have to rely on gimmicks and publicity stunts to create buzz and sell more records. I’ve voted “No” to the whole Chris Brown and Rihanna love story since it’s inception. Their relationship was far to strategic (came after the Chris Brown Dating His Manager rumors) and the “so-called” paparazzi shots of them kissing and holding each other look staged. Take for example the photos of them in Paris uploaded by Abelem. You ever notice the lighting and angles are just right? I couldn’t tell if I was looking at a spread from Essence or a real candid photo.
In the latest episode of stunts, member Clay Davis uploaded a video of platinum selling group Dru Hill announcing that they were reuniting on local radio station 92Q. Less than 10 minutes later the group gets into a physical fight after Woody announces he’s leaving the group to serve God.
Grind Member Xfactor commented “…Nokio kept it G, while Sisqo went to cry. But on the real, they should let the other brotha go with God & only have him record in the studio. He don't need to be on tour with them & all, then he can minister while the rest are travellin.”
Come on’ now? Am I supposed to believe that Woody would wait until they are live on the radio to tell the members of the group of his departure? I’m sure they had this discussion numerous times beforehand. 92Q’s camera man/intern running outside behind them as if he was filming a scene from “Dru Hill Goes Wild” was mad suspect. And Sisqo, boo I’m nominating you for a Razzi award for that “Worst dramatic performance of the year”. -Necole Bitchie
