It's good to see that I'm not the only person wrapped up in this wacky reality TV world. The Chef posted a story about the new Interracial Love show heading to VH1. Yes, it's an interracial dating show. Some random guy named Tobias White (yeah, we get it, White. Hardy har-har) searching high and low for his "black queen". He has two bi-racial sons, Marcus and Zachary, and they will help dear ol' daddy find the woman of his dreams. I'm not sure if VH1 casting can step up to the plate and bring real women for the show.
Imagine the "Bachelor" with the girls from "Flavor of Love" and that's what comes to mind. But who the hell is this guy anyway? Is anyone interested in seeing this show at all? Joyous commented, "It's really patronizing. It's fine that he likes/wants Black women, but do we need a show about it? VH1 can't seem to run out of stupid show ideas." I agree, it really seems like a useless show. Plus, I read that this isn't the first time he pitched the show. Is his he really looking for love or just TV time? Kdollaz1 said, "My whole thing is that VH1 was once a station that never played Hip-Hop music or anything black. Now they are capitalizing on everything black. Black people need to wake up dead a**! Like, why would you have a show like this as if he's doing these women a favor. At least other dating shows have an incentive like money, being married to a famous person etc,etc,...but who is this guy? This show is basically saying it's an honor for Black women to end up with a White man." It seems like these reality shows are only good for launching a mediocre modeling career. That is, unless you're willing to go all out and make a consistent fool out of yourself like "New York." What do yall think? -Tanspot
