Why is it that corny and/or washed-up comedians feel that they have to drag race into their shtick in order to get attention? Kaboom posted a clip of Paulie Shore trying to get a rise out of black people by recording a phone conversation about black comedians taking all the work. The video was tasteless but that's not what made it sickening to watch--sometimes tasteless can be funny--it was corny and pathetic. Meccalaw commented, "WTF???? Pauly Shore just trying to get some attention. He knows he's washed up and no one not even the "white people" want to see him or his comedy." Yup, that pretty much sums it up.
Later it came out that the whole stunt was part of his film "Natural Born Komics" which made it even more corny. There's so many more clever ways he could have used racial issues to get a laugh but the way he went about it sucked big time. As Chachacha said, "it's actually a clip from a movie called "Natural Born Komics". Anybody care?" To answer, eh, not really. -The Blackspot
