I don't know what implications a guilty or not guilty verdict in the sean bell case has on our society. I only know for certain that we need more sensitivity training as part of the police curriculum. I also believe a more intimate dialogue must be promoted between the police and communities.
This process could change the perception by some in the hood who see the police pressence as an occupying force when they could or should see them as a security force that THEY employ.

There is no true personal satisfaction of consequence if a citizen attempts to reprimand a government worker. I say that the public should protest in the same attire the local authorities are dressed(helmets,combat boots,shields..) in and act in an identical manner...
we may see just how much they truly 'serve and protect' those that have 'hired' the local security force,
the same people that are looking them in the eye, living next door ... had them over for a cookout just the week before...

GOVERNMENT IS ALWAYS GOING TO PROTECT GOVERNMENT. SADLY ENOUGH IT HAPPENED BEFORE & I HOPE AND PRAY IT WON'T BUT IN ALL ACTUALITY IT JUST MAY HAPPEN AGAIN.
