Ok, I get it, Rick Ross lied about not being a correctional officer a while back. So what? It's not like he's the first rapper to lie about once being a a drug kingpin. Think about it, why would the head of an elite drug empire become a rap artist? To brag perhaps? Possibly use it to front as a legitimate business? Bragging will get you a quick trip to prison and there's way better "businesses" to wash your money in than a rap career. Especially with all the heat Hip-Hop has right now. Essentially, don't get mad at Rick Ross because you fell for his con. Be mad at yourself for being so dumb to believe him in the first place.

If there was any wrong doing, it's Ross even denying that it was him in the picture. There's a variety of stories he could've come up with instead of that lame Photoshop bit he tried to pass off on us. Here's a few I came up with.

"Yes, I was cop but I was crooked. Remember that movie 'The Bad Lieutenant'? That was me."

"I was working undercover in reverse."

"I stole that uniform to bust one of my dudes out of jail."

"I just wanted to learn how to beat people up the most efficient way."

If Rick would've used any one of those excuses, he'd be free of the ridicule he's getting now. Don't be surprised if comes out that Jim Jones used to work the counter at Bath & Body Works.

I think the worst lie in Hip-Hop was when Soulja Boy said he was a rapper. Luke was 40 times the MC he is back in the day but still he insists he's the best rapper on the planet. None the less my question is, There are actually people who believe what rappers say in their rhymes!?!

Listen, I rap but you'll never hear me spitting about answering phone calls for AARP!  Hmmm.... Wait a minute... I'm having a Dewey Cox moment...

All I'm saying is we can't be mad, we shouldn't even be believing anything any of the rappers say out of their mouths... At the end of the day they are telling us a story so it is what it is!

I mean it wasn't cool to lie but what rapper hasn't lied on his way to the TOP!?

“Have you had your dose of ‘Joi’ today?”

I'm not a fan of Rick Ross anyway so who really gives a ___!

However the fact he felt he had to lie about his past seems to shed light on whether or not our Society, the Hip Hop community, the Music biz or all three are to blame.

Why do Rappers feel as though they have to portray an image of being from the "Hood" for Hip Hop authenticity and to gain respect?

Think about it?
